The Cowardliness of the Supreme Court

Attention Theban Legion, news from the glorious Roman Capital. Sadly it’s not great news, I have been informed that our courts are nothing but cowards and corrupt. They are refusing to protect roman citizen property rights, all why pretending they are so virtuously protecting the people from evil landlords. These cowards of the court decided that because of the recent wars that those who owned the property could not charge agreed upon rent from those living in them. This decision is causing an uproar for many landlords. From a reliable source I can say that many of the smaller landlords are starting to debate whether it worth bankrupting on the loans and just selling the properties to merchant guilds.

One does not need to be a Roamn Politicians to see these cowards are directly helping these merchant guilds to gain even more property and power against the people of Rome. What makes this even worse is that Merchant guilds directly hurt the very people they claim to be helping. These cowards on the court are hurting the people they so virtuously claim to be helping without a thought of the consequences. In other news I hear Americans Supreme court is doing the same thing. I must say these judges are cowards, and only care about looking good and helping the merchant guilds more then the people.

Bible Verse and Roman Fact
Proverbs 17:15 “He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.”

The Rise of Conservative Populist

Ahh yes the sounds of the populist being angered at the great elites… I remember the era of Publius Clodius Pulcher. It was a crazy time for the Roman People, and I hear rumors that now even the United States is starting to have a populist rising.

The Theban has word’s of wisdom for the great Theban Legion. That populism can lead to some crazy times, and be co-opted by dangerous men and women. That does not mean that it is destined to happen though. Populism isn’t inherently evil and the people in these movements have real grievances which the government must address, or risk the damage that comes from ignores ones people.

As the Theban Legion we support these populist. They have many valid reasons to want change. The elites have outsourced, destroyed wages, and hurt all people of all creeds, races, and culture. The elites are crushing the dreams of everyday Americans, and then pretend these people are the problem. The same issues happened in Rome and it lead to an emperor. I implore the populist do not give into the temptation of giving power to one man to destroy your enemy, for surely you will become the enemy of the emperor one day. Instead of giving into that temptation let us run people who understand the plight, and fight the good fight until the very end and win the battle. The American Dream is not dead, and nor are we powerless against those who wish to destroy us.

Roman Fact and Bible Verse of the Blog

Jeremiah 51:46 “46 Let not your heart faint, and be not fearful at the report heard in the land, when a report comes in one year and afterward a report in another year, and violence is in the land, and ruler is against ruler.” Roman Soldiers “During battle, a Roman soldier or ‘legionary’ first hurled his spear at the enemy, then he fought him with his sword. To protect himself, he carried a wooden shield and wore a metal helmet and armour.”
